Starting in Madrid with a guided city tour and a taste of the city's famous chocolate with churros, before a welcome tapas dinner to round out the first evening. After breakfast the next day, depart for the university city of Salamanca and on to Porto for a Douro River cruise and port wine tasting. Continue through Aveiro's picturesque canals, historic Coimbra and the Gothic Batalha Monastery, with a stop in the fishing town of Nazaré before reaching Lisbon for a full day of sightseeing. The journey winds back through Mérida's remarkable Roman ruins before a farewell dinner in Madrid.
